Succeeding as a freelance translator – Branding & marketing (Sat, 4th July 2020, 10-11am)
This talk will examine what we mean by these terms and why translators need to pay attention to this important area of their business. We will look at all of the different channels through which we communicate our brand and sell our translation services, from our business name and email address to logos and business cards. We will also explore the various types of digital marketing including websites, blogs and social media and see why it is important to curate a strong online brand identity. All of these marketing channels will be examined using real-world examples, and participants will be encouraged to do a practical follow-up exercise in their own time.
