Membership requirements
Student Membership is available to persons undertaking undergraduate studies in any discipline and persons undertaking postgraduate studies in translation or interpreting.
Application process
You may apply for Student membership at any point during the subscription year which runs from 1 June to 31 May. If you join between 1 June and 30 November, you pay the full annual subscription which is €30. If you join between 1 December and 31 May of the following year, you pay €15.
If your application is approved, you will be contacted about payment of the subscription due and asked to sign a declaration to say that you agree to abide by the various Codes of the Association. Please do not make a payment prior to this. Once payment has been received, your details will be included in the ITIA mailing list.
Application documents
Applications are accepted by email only to info@translatorsassociation.ie. Please save all documents in one file (where possible) and name the file(s) with your surname e.g. Surname_student. Alternatively, please name separate files as detailed below.
When sending in your application, please ensure the following documents are included:
- Full and up-to-date CV (saved as surname_CV)
- Completed ITIA Student Membership application form (saved as surname_application)
- Proof of current registration as a student (saved as surname_registration)
