Associate Membership 

is available to translators and interpreters who are starting out on their careers and to those who do not work full-time as a translator or interpreter. Many members avail of Associate Membership until such time as they have acquired the requisite experience and/or qualifications to apply for Professional Membership.

Associate Membership is also availed of by people with a professional interest in the professions of translation and interpreting (e.g. terminologists, translation/interpreting tutors etc.) and by those who have a general interest in these professions.

Associate Members are listed in the ITIA Register of Members (PDF file) which is available on the ITIA website and can be accessed directly by potential clients.

The ITIA subscription year runs from 1 June to 31 May of the following year but we accept applications for Associate Membership all year round. 

The annual subscription for Associate Membership is 50 Euro.  Renewals are due on 1 June of each year, regardless of the date you first joined the association. 

Applications are processed by the Executive Committee at their monthly meeting. Therefore, complete applications should arrive to the ITIA by the first Thursday of each month. If your application is approved, you will be contacted about payment of the annual subscription. Please do not make a payment prior to this.
